Private Nameservers are of the format ns1.yourhostingcompany.com and ns2.yourhostingcompany.com rather than the one we give on signup.
When you move servers, having private nameservers means you just have to change the IP address for the main domain and all your clients would automatically be able to access their sites on the new server.
To get your own private nameservers
1. Register the Nameservers on your Domain
Login to your Clue WebHost Client Area,
Click on Domains at the top,
At the right side of the domain you intend using, Click on "Manage Domain"
On the Next Screen that comes up, click on "Management Tools" then Click "Register nameserver"
Put in the prefix you want to use (ns1 is more recognized) and your IP address and save.
Do the same for ns2
2. Set A records for your new nameservers as follows:
a. Log in to yoursite.com/whm with the Username and Password sent on Sign Up
b. Scroll down, under "DNS Functions" click "Edit DNS Zone"
c. Select the Domain you would use for your Hosting Company
d. Click "Edit" then scroll down to the part marked, "Add new Entries Below this line"
e. In the first Blank Space, type in "ns1", skip the field with 14400 and in the drop-down after that, select "A". Enter your ns1 IP address in the field that appears.
f. In the second Blank Space, type in "ns2", skip the field with 14400 and in the drop-down after that, select "A". Enter your ns2 IP address in the field that appears.
g. Scroll to the Bottom of the page and click "Save"
